Aligning your services to the Public Sector Equality Duty and upholding the Equality Act 2010 are two key deliverables as part of the NHS contract. This session will give you the confidence to demonstrate your equality duties and embed it into every part of your activity as an organisation / practice.

Delegates will leave the session feeling more confident and competent to talk about all aspects of equality and address some of their challenges in terms of health inequalities, tackling recruitment issues and supporting staff retention.

The session will cover:

  • The Legal side: Public Sector Equality Duty, Equality Act and Equality Impact Assessments
  • Access and patient care: How this relates to the human rights of others
  • Demonstrate value: How to maximise your activity e.g. aligning to the CQC
