The aim of the session will be to provide attendees with the essential skills and knowledge needed to effectively manage and enhance employee performance focusing on key aspects of performance management, including goal setting, feedback, and performance improvement strategies.
The session will cover:
- Setting clear expectations and objectives
- Effective communication techniques for providing constructive feedback, informally and formally
- Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs)
- Understanding the role of motivation in performance
Laura has worked in Human Resources for 20 years; most recently as a HR Director for an employee-owned, social enterprise providing NHS services.
Laura works as an independent consultant supporting organisations to improve and enhance their people service arrangements. Laura has extensive experience of generalist people service arrangements, employment law and organisational development.
Laura is accredited to use a number of psychometric tools that support individual and team development and is an ACAS trained internal workplace mediator. Laura is also registered with the ICO to process personal data. She holds a BSc in Business and Law (2002), is a Chartered member of the CIPD (2003), is a member of the BPS (2020) and holds an MSc in Occupational and Business Psychology, with merit (2020).
