The NHS in England faces a number of challenges in attracting, educating and training nurses. This Open University webinar brings together a panel of nursing experts to discuss innovative and flexible solutions to these challenges. The webinar will investigate how older career changers, people from diverse backgrounds and those who may have lower attainment levels in prior education could be attracted to a career in nursing and given the tools to succeed.

The panel will also discuss how shortages can emerge in higher education cold spots and the difficulties in accessing the full diversity of talent and potential from within local communities. The panel members have vast experience of running flexible nursing programmes which have delivered exciting results across a number of Trusts in England.
