This two-day Paediatric Masterclass Workshop welcomes all practitioners who see and assess children of all ages in general practice, primary care, urgent care, or emergency settings.
The fee is £280 per delegate – CCCU Medway Campus – Saturday 18 Jan 2025, & Sunday 19 Jan 2025, Full attendance on both days is required. Day 1 runs from 08:15 – 17:15, and day 2 runs from 09:30 – 17:30.
Please ensure you arrive on time and stay for the entire duration of the masterclass. A certificate of attendance will be provided following completion of the masterclass.
The objectives include:
- Demonstrate the process of gathering a thorough and organised history from the unwell child and their carers.
- Improve knowledge and understanding of the main paediatric illnesses that are encountered in primary and secondary care settings including recognition and management of the acutely unwell child.
- To develop advanced physical examination skills for 5 main systems of respiratory, cardiovascular, abdominal, neurological and ENT examination.
- Develop your critical reasoning and clinical decision-making skills using up-to-date research.
- To promote collaboration and information exchange amongst all professionals who are assessing and managing paediatric cases, especially in regard to arranging safe transfers and referrals.
- Recognise the importance of maintaining accurate records and your professional and legal obligations, which include safeguarding.
