On Friday, 17th November, year 12 school students visited Estuary View Medical Centre in Whitstable, to learn about the range of careers in primary care. They had a tour of the different departments in the practice, followed by ‘speed networking’ with 10 healthcare professionals to learn more about their individual roles and ask questions.
One student said that they “learnt that there’s a lot more pathways in the NHS than I thought”.
Tamsin Rawlinson, Health and Social Care teacher said: “Just wanted to say a big thank you for organising the trip to Estuary View on Friday. The students got a lot from it and enjoyed talking to staff and seeing different departments. I am hoping this will help them with their career choices and inspire them for the future.“
