On 16 & 17 November 2023 the world leading suicide prevention training ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) will be delivered at the Alexander Centre in Faversham, Kent.
ASIST is essential training for anyone who may encounter individuals with thoughts of suicide, including those working in the field of Health and Social Care, Education, Human Resources and Law Enforcement. This accredited two-day interactive skills building training prepares caregivers to provide suicide first-aid interventions using a practical, robust and evidence-based intervention model.
Endorsed by the WHO, ASIST is the most widely evaluated suicide intervention skills training in the world, underpinned by 4 decades of knowledge translation and evidence. Over 3 million caregivers world-wide have taken the training and learned life-saving skills.
This ASIST will be delivered by David Webster and Rachel van Hoven, both highly experienced trainers with extensive knowledge of the local area and Kent specific resources and needs.
