The training is being delivered face to face at Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce on the 5th December, 8.45am to 3pm.

Before you can book a place on this course, you must complete and submit an Eligibility Assessment and confirm you have all of the below:

  • A Care Certificate Qualification
  • A NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (STEP/KaSPaC)
  • An identified registered mentor within your practice
  • If you are a Student Nursing Associate, you would need to have been a SNA for at least 6 months.

The course is listed as not suitable for GPAs and Trainee GPAs as they do not meet the eligibility requirements.

Learning Objectives provided by the trainer & noted on our site are as follows:

  • Have a greater understanding of normal healing and the factors that may affect this
  • A good understanding of the key principles of wound care and the role they play in this
  • Be able to recognise wound-related complications and know when to seek advice or support
  • Be able to recognise common wound types and what clinical interventions are needed
  • A greater understanding of the role of dressings in wound care, what the various categories are and how and when to use them
