Training Hubs support Primary Care Networks (PCN) and general practices with education, training and development needs to ensure a fit for purpose multi-disciplinary workforce.

Training Hubs are usually run by a clinical leader and a manager supported by a network of primary care staff with education and training professionals based in the community. They work closely with Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) to support workforce priorities and tackle health inequalities to help meet patient and population demand. They bring together education and training resources from NHS organisations, community providers as well as local authorities.

The Kent and Medway Primary Care Training Hub (KMPCTH) merges the previous 3 local Training Hubs and is led by Clinical Leads with accountability to NHS England:

• North Kent (DGS, Medway, Swale)
• East Kent (Ashford, Canterbury & Coastal, South Kent Coast, Thanet)
• West Kent (Maidstone, The Weald, Tonbridge)

There are 4 Health and Care Partnerships (HCPs) in Kent & Medway that bring together all provider health organisations in an area to work as one.

• East Kent
• Medway and Swale
• West Kent
