This training is for all healthcare staff within England and accompanies the Suicide Prevention toolkit as published by NHS England and as required as set out in the recommendations of the National All England cross party Suicide Prevention strategy 2023 to 2028.

Opening Doors – a Suicide Prevention Learning Resource (for healthcare staff)

NHS England has published an animation on suicide prevention to support staff with how to recognise signs of suicidal distress in themselves and others, and the ways in which they can seek help.

Called ‘Opening Doors’, the resource has been developed by the Zero Suicide Alliance, in partnership with healthcare staff who have been impacted by suicide.

The training is free to undertake and available on the NHS Learning Hub (login required).
