We are also keen to show case examples of best practice in using QI to drive improvement in patient’s outcomes and experiences, so if you have any early career nurses or midwives that might want to share their work or examples of best practice, we are also keen to incorporate these into future network meetings agendas especially in view of the 10 year plan and governments three bug shifts: hospital to community, from analogue to digital and from sickness to prevention.

The QI network aims to build leadership capability, knowledge, and skills in quality improvement, investing in and developing our future generation of nursing and midwifery leaders and share examples of best practice in QI and improvements in patient / person centred care and outcomes to support colleagues with leading improvement in practice. The network also aims to support retention of nurses & midwives.  (please note the focus is on those nurses and midwives within the first 5 years of qualification or registration in UK).

This is one of two national QI networks, which NHS England’s Nursing Directorate, has been leading on the design, development, and delivery of to support delivery of the Long-Term Plan’s ambition for quality and the National Patient Safety Strategy and is also supporting delivery of NHS Impact..
