PAIRS is a KCC-commissioned, specialist therapeutic service delivered by psychologists and psychotherapists. We help expectant parents and primary caregivers (inclusive of all family structures) who are struggling to connect with their infants up to age two.
Who should you refer? PAIRS offers targeted interventions for families who have already tried other support services. Consider a referral if a caregiver is experiencing:
- Difficulties bonding or understanding infant cues.
- Perinatal anxiety, low mood, or stress impacting the relationship.
- Trauma or physical/emotional ill health affecting the parent-infant bond.
- Negative impacts from their own childhood experiences of being parented.
