Dear Primary Care Practice Managers, GP Supervisors, and Primary Care Network Clinical Directors,
The SE School of PAs currently host and run an NHS England funded Primary Care Preceptorship programme for PAs in Primary Care
This is a 12 month funded programme providing primary care specific education to PAs to support development of the PA role in primary care.
Applications for this are NOW OPEN for very the last time. We will be unable take further applications for the preceptorship after 13th March 2026. Accepted applicants will need to enrol in March 2026
We welcome those who wish to join, to apply urgently to benefit from the last programme cycle. This is open to PA applicants working in primary care across Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Thames Valley and Wessex regions as per eligibility below.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Existing PAs in Primary Care (as of 16th July 2025) who have not already undertaken a PA preceptorship
- Employers seeking additional assurance: Practices that wish to provide enhanced supervision and assurance for their PAs, could apply for the funding to cover additional supervision and education costs
NB; The PA must be able to commit to two hours per week of protected time in order to complete the programme. This should be agreed with employing practices and PA Clinical Supervisors before applications are submitted.
