The Kent & Medway Community Education Facilitation (CEF) Workforce Model, developed initially by the Kent and Medway Primary Care Training Hub (KMPCTH) in collaboration with NHS England and local partners, is nationally recognised as an innovative solution to secure the future NHS primary care workforce . The animation has been developed in liaison with the NHSE South East PCN Transformation programme team, to share the fantastic work that our Kent and Medway Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and Practices have delivered in collaboration with the Training Hub and our ICB.
The Kent & Medway CEF model demonstrates a practical, scalable approach to workforce development, providing the infrastructure and culture necessary to recruit, retain, and develop a resilient, multi-professional NHS workforce. Its success in enhancing learning cultures and supporting workforce sustainability makes it a compelling evidence-based model for broader adoption to address the NHS workforce crisis.
