Health Sciences University has secured additional funding for 2026 and 2027 to support the First Contact Practitioner (FCP) Postgraduate Certificate courses.

This funding means the programme will continue to be fully funded for eligible professionals working in NHS Primary Care in England.

If you have any paramedics, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, or podiatrists who are ready to advance their professional development, we’d be very happy to hear from you. Please also feel free to share this opportunity with colleagues or teams who may benefit.

Course information
Both courses are delivered part‑time. Stage 1 is taught fortnightly using a hybrid model, and Stage 2 takes place online once a month. The full programme takes approximately one year to complete.

There will be three Stage 1 intakes in 2026: January, May, and September.

More detailed information can be found on our website https://www.hsu.ac.uk/course/pgcert-first-contact-practice/ and in the attached Frequently Asked Questions.  Course dates are at the end of that document.
