Dear Practice Managers,
The KMPCTH have funds places on the forthcoming GPA programme.
If you have a member of staff who would like to undertake this course, please fill in the attached EOI form and send it to:
General Practice Assistant generalpracticeassistant@bnu.ac.uk cc dk@nhs.net
The training Hub will hold a waiting listthat will operate on a first come first served basis. Anybody unsuccessful in obtaining a place maybe be offered a place on future cohorts, should funding still exist. Please note that we can only accept a maximum of two people per surgery.
We kindly ask that if your member of staff leaves or no longer wishes to do the course that you notify us at the earliest opportunity.
Buckinghamshire New University can give you more details once the EOI form has been received. The course runs for approximately six months. The academic part of the course is virtual and normally runs on a Tuesday. The practice is required to give continual support to the student whilst in practice with an allocated half a day a week protected learning time.
We encourage all students waiting for a place to complete the care certificate with Invicta learning and e-lfh. Students will be expected to learn to take blood. It is therefore important that they seek medical/occupational health assistance in obtaining a Hepatitis B course to help protect them prior to starting this training.
Once the application process commences, learners can start to look at the mapped competencies in preparation, so potential students are fully apprised of the academic requirements, here is a link below to have a look through in case you have not already seen it and a link for FAQs
