Following the official announcement from the government below, Level 7 apprenticeships will no longer be available from January 2026.
This will have a significant impact on those wishing to undertake the Advanced Practice MSc via the Apprenticeship route.
We will still offer NHS E Commission places however we will be expecting demand to be higher than the number of places available.
The criteria for NHS E funded places are set out on page 10 of the current strategy attached.
Applicants need to:
- aware of both academic and experiential requirement
- be qualified for a minimum of
- 3 years for Nurses
- 5 years for AHPs and completed relevant Primary Care FCP roadmap stage 1 and 2
- 3 years Clinical Pharmacists and completed CPPE Clinical Pharmacy Programme
- working in primary care for a minimum of 1 year
- meet the entry criteria for their chosen University before applying for advanced practice funding
- For ARRS funded paramedics they must be compliant with the requirements set out in the current DES.
- they must be working towards developing masters level or equivalent capability in paramedic areas of practice and, within six months of the commencement of reimbursement for that individual (or a longer time period as agreed with the commissioner), has completed and been signed off formally within the clinical pillar competencies of the paramedic FCP/AP roadmap to practice.
