We have been working with the Tissue Viability Teams across Kent and Medway to align the existing first choice dressings list and are pleased to introduce the Kent & Medway First Choice Dressings List (KM FCDL). This replaces all FCDLs that are currently operational. There are variations for different healthcare settings due to the needs of types of wounds typically treated.

The review was clinically driven, prioritising benefits to patients as well as ensuring cost effective options were selected.

The document is available here and will also be available on the local formulary websites, document management systems including DORIS and DXS, as well as the provider websites.

The ordering platform, ONPOS (online non-prescription ordering service), will be updated with these options week commencing 14th July. Teams will only be able to order these products from this time.

The drug dictionary on Emis will also be updated, preferred options will be in bold. Non preferred options will be greyed out and should not be prescribed.
