The menopause OPT-
- OPT is an electronic resource. It has been developed by over 40 experts from the NHS Menopause CRG.
- The purpose of the OPT is to upskill clinicians so more women can access the right care first time.
- It is designed to be used in real-time, alongside the consultation, to guide non-expert health professionals through a menopause consultation.
- It is designed for any practitioner providing menopause advice but is particularly recommended for GPs, practice nurses and other practice staff and pharmacists.
- The information within OPT is intended to be comprehensive (including NICE guidelines), easy-to-use and locate, and provide up-to-date information.
- Users can find relevant content using the search bar or can navigate through the OPT’s pages using a menu.
The menopause OPT is attached to this email and is for you to share widely across your system, for non-menopause experts to assist with their clinical decision making and/or a teaching tool.
